Byron Glade Bills passed away surrounded by his family on July 9, 2018 at the University of Utah Hospital. Byron was born to Elton Ezra Bills and Martha Isabelle Butterfield Bills on August 28, 1948 in Murray, Utah He is the youngest of 10 children, growing up inHerriman, Utah. He graduated from Bingham High School in 1966. On July 30, 1966 he married his High School sweetheart, SharonErickseninRiverton, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity on April 27, 1973.
He is survived by his three children, Michael (Christine) Bills of Little America, WY. Laura (Joy) Anderson of Rock Springs, WY andBettyJoNoe ofOrem, UT. 6 grandchildren Lonnie Bills of Vineyard, UT Ashley (Teryl) Anderson of Artesia, NM, Katy (Devin) Oaks of Artesia, NM, Jesse Bills, Colby Bills of Little America WY, andKorbinBills Anderson of Rock Springs, WY. A great-granddaughter Emily Bills of Vineyard, UT, many nieces and nephews, and many special friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents and three of his siblings.
Due to health reasons he retired form Halliburton Energy Services in 1995. Byron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, where he faithfully served in various positions. Byron was a hard worker loved serving those around him. Farming and helping many friends, neighbors and family were just a few of his favorite things.
Funeral services for Byron Glade Bills, age 69, of Vernal, husbandof Sharon Bills, will be held Saturday, July 14, 1018 at 11AM at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (3040 North Vernal Avenue). A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday evening 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West) and Saturday 9:45-10:45AM at the chapel. Interment will be held in the Rockpoint Cemetery.
