Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, Deelyn Massey, 41, returned to her Heavenly Father October 10, 2019 at the University of Utah Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Deelyn was born in Vernal, Utah on her big brothers birthday November 15, 1977 to Cathy Jorgensen Massey and JayDee Massey. She married Clay Rosenkranz in Las Vegas, Nevada they later divorced. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She attended Uintah High School and worked at JBs Restaurant with her mother for 10 years. She spent the last 8 years working at Rocky Mountain Lube, where she had great friends and made many more, she also continued to work part time at JBs.
When Deelyn was 3 she drowned in a swimming pool. Her sister Carrie grabbed her and her dad quickly turned her upside down and started shaking the water out of her lungs. When she came to and was able to speak she said I went high in the sky. I saw pretty lights, pretty flowers, and a nice man. God sent her back to us and let her finish what she was meant to do until He called her home again.
Despite Deelyns busy life schedule she loved the outdoors, and the mountains. She spent many hours on the mountain riding side by sides and taking pictures with her soulmate Shannon. Deelyn is one of a kind, her special spirit has brought sunshine into many lives. She worked very hard to give her two beautiful girls a good life. She is so proud of them both. She has a great love for family. We will miss her love and her shining light in our lives.
Deelyn is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Katlyn Rosenkranz (Brennen Johnson) and Kenadee Rosenkranz. Her mother Cathy Jorgenson Massey, father JayDee (Denise) Massey, the love of her life and soul mate Shannon Sawyer. Her siblings Cory Massey, Carrie (Shawn) Massey-Francke, DeeJay (Tera) Massey, and Chance (Jamie) Massey and Brandon Murray, Brandi (Cody) Perry and many nieces and nephews.
Deelyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Harry and Wanda Jorgensen, and Florence and Ruben Borger, Her uncles Calvin Jorgensen and Duane Massey and her aunt Maureen Allred.
