Rick Aguilar Obituary

Ricardo Don Aguilar passed away unexpectedly in his home Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at the age of 52. He was born June 12, 1966 in Vernal, Utah to Juve and Bolena Christensen Aguilar. He was the third of four children and their only son.

Rick loved spending time with family, doing picnics, hunting, camping, fishing, rock hunting, riding four wheelers, having BBQs and road trips to visit his grandchildren. He looked forward to every Friday morning breakfast with the family at 7-11 Ranch Restaurant and pancakes at Mom and Dads on Sundays. He developed a new found love for the farm-life with his four legged babies; goats, lambs, and calves in which he bottle fed three bummers this year that became his tag alongs while camping and attending his family reunion. Uncle Icky also enjoyed hanging with the nieces and nephews playing beer pong, even if it kept him up passed his bedtime. He followed in his Great Grandpa Aguilars footsteps of being a prankster and teasing and tormenting them. After all sarcasm was his middle name to about anyone that knew him. He always wanted to see what reaction he would get from people.

Rick worked for Blackhills Trucking, some kind of steam drilling in Beaver, Utah, David Early Tires in Salt Lake City while attending school to become a paralegal. Owner of The Office Bar, Co-Owner and Operator of AM Mobile Home Works with his former partner of 18 years, Heidi Murray, mother of Wakara and Jesse. He worked for Stewart Machine before suffering from a mild stroke in 2013. He was an active council member for the Timpanogos Tribe for the last 19 years and loved doing research for the Tribe. He recently attended UBATC to further his education and received a CAD certificate.

Rick is survived by his Mother Bolena, sisters: Leita, Jensine (Barry), Michele (Wayne); children: Rico (DeLynn), Ashlynne (Roy), Wakara and Jesse; grandchildren: Presley, Bentley, LynneDe Kay, and Kira Lynn; nieces: Tawna, Toya, Shalena (Pat), Teisha (Jordan), Tanika (RaLeigh), nephews: Roy (Amanda), Anden (Caitlin), Garrick, and great nieces and nephews: Jakobe, Maddix, Jayden, Emma, Jake, Zerek, Drakesyn and Bailen. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. And his long distance sweetheart Michelle.

Rick is preceded in death by his father Juve, grandparents Don and Lola Aguilar and Jens and Selma Christensen; niece Crystal Aguilar.

Rick will truly be missed by all. Love you to the moon and back.
