Clement Garcia Obituary
Clement Michael Garcia, age 69, passed away on February 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Clement was born on August 6, 1950 in Sells, Arizona. Clement married Elaine Holmes on May 4, 1989 in Vernal, Utah.
Clem enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and making people smile. He loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed chopping wood, yard work and helping other people. He spent most of his life driving truck and her worked at Wal-Mart prior to retirement.
Clem joked around with everyone and it made his day if he made people laugh. Clem had a multitude of health issues within the last 2-3 years. He had several surgeries, amputation of both legs, and received dialysis 3 days every week. He never let it get him down. He stayed positive through it all. He kept smiling and trying to get back to doing what he loved to do.
Clem was a member of the Tohono Oodham Nation. He was proud of his heritage.
Clem is survived by his wife Elaine Garcia, son Shiloh Garcia, daughter April Garcia and four step-children: Chris (Mindy) Anderson, Cory Anderson, Courtney Anderson (Jace) Gardner, and Katie Anderson (Todd) Calvert; father-in-law Lyle Holmes; one sister Mary Rose Garcia of Sells, Arizona.
Clem is preceded in death by his parents, brother (all of Sells, Arizona); mother-in-law Bunny Holmes of Vernal, Utah
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 11:00 a.m. at the Davis 4th Ward LDS Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8p.m. at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Friday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.
