Gordon Allen Overbay

Gordon Allen Overbay age 62, of Vernal, Utah, husband of Jodeane Kent Rupert, passed away on August 29, 2022. Gordon was born on August 8, 1960, to Marjorie Nadine Martin and Albert "Al" Lionel Overbay in Santa Ana, California.

Gordon enjoyed fishing and other outdoor activities. He was an excellent artist and very talented man. He worked for Adams Body and Paint for 15 years doing what he loved, painting cars and auto body work.

He is survived by his wife Jodeane, sons; Matthew Rupert (Nicole) Vernal, George Viera Elmira of New York, Joshua Overbay of West Virginia. Daughters; Tamara Overbay, Tessa Overbay both of West Virginia. Sisters; Kim Marks (Nate) of Vernal, Kass Overbay (Curtis) Redvale, of Colorado, and brother; Rodney Overbay of Salt Lake City, Utah. Special friends; Sara Rock of Vernal and Jackie Allen Grand Junction, Colorado. 4 Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, Stepdad Dennis Lemon and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father; Al Overbay, Mother Marge McGuire, brothers; Troy and Bobby Overbay, Stepmom; Jeanne Lemon, brother-in-law; Dave Campbell, and niece Samantha Ames.

A celebration of life for Gordon will be held Monday September 5th from 5:00pm ~ 8:00pm at the St. Paul's Parish House (226 West Main Street). Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
