Jimmie Carl Greenhow born April 1, 1951. Died April 24, 2022.
Jimmie was born in Rangely, CO to Philip Bert Greenhow and Lela Elaine Smuin. He lived his childhood in Colorado and later moved to Vernal where he lived most of his adult life. After finishing high school, he married Linda Mackay; they later divorced. He then married Mary Kerr, they too divorced, but remained friends. He was a hard worker, holding many oil field jobs where he made many friends and was looked up to by many for his wealth of knowledge in all things. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix or build and no problem went unsolved. He enjoyed his many hobbies, like spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, coin collecting, working in his shop, rather it be with wood or metal. He built many things over the years for his family to treasure such as leather purses, picnic tables, stools, and many other things. He was the only boy in his family and was born on April Fool's Day!!
He is survived by his sisters: Linda (Ernie) Holmes, Patsy Kornfeld, Lori (Eric) Dethlefsen; his children: Phillip(Roni) Greenhow, Bonnie Greenhow, Amanda Greenhow, Angie (Tyler) Ercanbrack, Ashlee (Karl) Cunningham, 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Lela Greenhow; sisters Zelda Greenhow and Anita Harlan; and niece Dakota Harlan.
The family would like to thank "The Boss", Marcie Duke, who he considered his guardian angel. As well as Shelly and Paige from Canyon Home Care and Hospice.
Funeral services for Jimmie will be held Thursday April 28, 2022 at 11:00am at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment in Vernal Memorial Park.
