Sheila Ann (Stewart) Wheeler

Sheila Ann Stewart Wheeler passed away on January 28th, 2023 at the age of 77.
she was born on April 6th, 1945 in Richland, Washington to June Stewart and Wiley Stewart.

Sheila Married Stanley Wheeler on March 18th, 1966 in Elko, Nevada.

Sheila was an avid writer, and she penned the very first Outlaw Trail Theater play; The Star of Justice, and was one of the founding members of the Outlaw Trail Theater and Uintah Arts Council which still is a large part of our summer community to this day. She also wrote the second, third and Fourth plays called Rawhide and Lace, West of the Law and Riders on the Wind.

She loved to paint and painted many beautiful works which hang in all her family's halls.

One of her favorite pastimes was crafting and quilting. She and her family and friends always enjoyed working on new projects.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and loved her ward and her religion, she served as the relief society president two times for two separate wards.

Sheila loved her community and the people she touched and that touched her and she will be missed.

Sheila is survived by her daughters: Julianne Merkley, Lauri Wheeler, Charity Bruce, and Emily Allen; her son, James Wheeler; brother, Lloyd Stewart, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one more on the way, whom she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Wheeler, her mother and father, June and Wiley Stewart and her sister Roslyn Stewart.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Jensen Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday morning from 10:00-11:00AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Jensen Cemetery.
