Stephen Scotty J. Burns Passed away on March 29, 2020, at the age of 76. Scotty was born May 6, 1943, to Agnes Miller Burns and James Burns in Springburn, Glasgow. Scotty met his wife Pamela Garrick on February 6, 1986, and they later married on November 11, 1999, In Las Vegas Nevada.
Scotty enjoyed life in so many ways and lived his life with integrity. He loved to travel and visit his children and extended family all over the globe from California to Idaho to the UK and Australia. Scotty loved Sports whether he was watching it or playing. He played professional football (soccer) during his life in Scotland. Being the true Scotsman he was he loved to play golf with his family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Arizona Diamond Backs and traveled to watch them play in many different ball parks. Sundays he could always be found cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, however, were not sure if he loved the team or the cheerleaders more. Scotty always found serenity in the outdoors. He would sit in his camp chair and just take it all in. He would always follow it up with his sarcastic remark, this is so awful, who would want to be here. He loved going to live music events whether it was a local band or a crowded concert. His enjoyment shined through as he always danced to the music being played. So many things would bring his well-known infectious smile to his face. He knew he had it too, he would always walk out in the morning and say, It happened again, I get better looking every day.
Through the years Scotty made so many friends and touched so many lives all over the world. He met many of them through his career in the oil field, he was loved and adored by all.
He is survived by his wife; Pamela Burns Children- Tracy, Kim (Trapper), Jamey (Brian), Tara (Steve), Rick, Danny, Brandy (Jonathan), 24 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, Sister in laws, Brother in Laws, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and many close friends that he called his family.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Son (Scott), Sister, Mother in law, Father in law, 2 brothers in laws, Grandson and cousins.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday July 11, 2020 at 11:00am at the Dinaland Golf Course, 675 South 2000 East. Services and Care entrusted to Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
