Laura May Clawson, age 72, of Vernal returned home to her Heavenly Father and her awaiting family on Saturday April 20, 2019.
Laura was born on February 7, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to William Franklin and Elsie Alexander. She grew up in Indian Hills, Colorado where she met Francis Lloyd Clawson and together they had four children before later separating.
Laura loved to travel and just see new things. She loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. When asked what brought her the most joy she said watching her grandkids and her animals. She LOVED her animals, every day brought a new story of what they had done or trouble they had gotten into. One of her favorite pastimes was taking short trips to Dinosaur, so she could get her scratch tickets.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Alexander, her sisters: Edith Luella Cummins and Marian Granzella; brothers: Francis Alexander and James Alexander; grandsons: Johnathan Clawson and Travis Clawson.
Her life will be forever cherished in the lives of her family she leaves behind, her brother Allen Alexander of Rocksprings, Wyoming; Children: Paul Clawson of Vernal, John (Debbie) Clawson of Vernal, Kim (Dave) Zuch of Washoe Valley, Nevada, and Jen (Derek) Anderton of Vernal; children from Fritzs first marriage Bobby Clawson, Rose Clawson, Carolyn Clawson and Jimmy Clawson all from the Denver area; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 nieces.
