- About Us
Carter Winn chose an Eagle Project that will benefit families experiencing the loss of a baby. The inspiration for his project and Tanner's came from Carter's aunt, Heidi Winn who works as a labor and delivery nurse at Ashley Regional Medical Center. Carter and numerous family members and registered scouters built four full size infant caskets. The caskets were designed by Carter's grandfather, Terry Winn. Thanks to Carter's very generous donors, there was money available to assist in the purchase of the vaults that the caskets are required to be placed in. Thank you to Jake Phillips and Ashley Valley Funeral Home for accepting these caskets that are available to families regardless of the mortuary they choose. Scouting inspires greatness. THANK YOU, CARTER!
Thank you to the Vernal Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post 11 for collecting over 250 American Flags to be retired. Ashley Valley Funeral Home along with Basin Cremation Center is honored to be able to receive the flags for retirement. The flags will be retired in the most reverent manner in our on-site crematorium.
f you see Tanner Woodruff this week give him a BIG pat on the back. This kid has spent countless hours making baby caskets for his Eagle Scout Project. These little caskets will be available at no cost to families who experience a loss of a premature baby. Tanner donated these to Juleena Mansfield who is the coordinator for Angel of Hope. These caskets will be available at Ashley Valley Funeral Home for any family to use no matter what funeral home they choose. GREAT JOB TANNER!! We are proud of you!
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
Did both of my grandparents funerals. The professionalism is unmatched in the valley. Thank you so much.
I have worked with Jake for a few years and lots of services. We are grateful for his professionism and his desire to bring the best to our area.
Jake Phillips and staff are the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met! The venue is beautiful and they are more than willing to try and accommodate your needs! I am so grateful for their services.
Jake is so sincere in caring for your loved ones and treats you and them with the utmost respect. He helps to make the most sensitive time easier to bare.
I wanted to take a moment and express my appreciation to Jake, his family and the Ashley Valley Funeral home and let them know how much our family appreciates everything they have done for us over the past year.
Dad passed away almost a year ago, September 13th to be exact and his funeral was September 19th, 2016.
Mom and Dad had preplaned things with Jake and from the moment Dad passed away, Jake had everything taken care of, from having dad picked up from Utah Valley Medical Center by Utah Valley Funeral home in Lindon, transporting dad to Vernal, the Pre arrangements and arrangements for the funeral and setting the Head Stone.
Jake has made our loss and sorrows much easier and has stayed in contact with my mother and our family almost monthly, checking in on mom, checking to see if there is anything she needs or what he can do for her.
Jake is very professional, very accommodating and most of all, Very friendly at anytime, not just during the loss of a loved one.
I would highly recommend Jake Phillips and Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
Thank You Jake
I cannot express enough thanks for the compassionate love and care Jake gave to my mom and our family. Jake and his staff were so helpful and caring. Above all so loving and respectful.
Jake has gone above and beyond for our family
No other funeral home in Vernal compares to Ashley Valley Funeral Home. They are so very kind, accommodating, and comforting. The facility is beautiful and the layout is well thought out. There is plenty of parking and foyer space. Jake Philips goes above and beyond to take special care of both the loved one you have lost and your grieving family. You feel taken care of every step of the way. The main difference between Ashley Valley Funeral Home and other funeral homes is the way that you feel about the whole experience when it's all said and done.
This is one of the hardest time that happen to families and friends.... To say our good-bye from this life, until we meet again... The Phillips Family, have always been so compassionate and respectful of family's wishes.... Humble and kind come to mind... A comforting, peaceful staff, in a most grievous time... Thank you....
They really care about you and your family here. Such loving people.
I was beyond impressed with the care, kindness and compassion that Jake had for us when my sister passed away. He truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were at peace and content with all arrangements. Thank you Jake!
Jake Phillips the owner of Ashley Valley Funeral Home is a great guy.
He is very professional and I highly recommend using his funeral home for a loved one.
The funeral home is one of the best if not the best in that area of UTAH.
Beautiful Funeral Home with the most friendly, helpful, and caring staff.
Jake Phillips and his staff at Ashley Valley Funeral Home are simply outstanding. They provided the highest level of care for our family during an extremely difficult time. The facility is exceptionally well-designed and all the necessary details were completely thought through. Jake even provided a place where our children could gather during the services. I've been involved with dozens of funerals in the Uintah Basin over the years and can honestly say that the two at Ashley Valley Funeral Home were absolutely the best. I would give my absolute highest recommendation to Jake and Ashley Valley. They are simply fantastic.
