April 11th, 1952 she married Ben Marshall Bridges and together they had 7 wonderful children. Mary and Ben moved several times in their lifetime, starting in Oklahoma, moving back and forth to Colorado many times, and then eventually finding a final home in Vernal. In her younger years she was a nurse, where she enjoyed working with the babies, she then went to work at the Nuclear Plant in Colorado doing bookkeeping and enjoyed doing that until they moved to Vernal where she wanted to be a full time mom taking care of all of us kids. In 1975, Mary and Ben started Benco Well Service which is still in business today.

Mom was a very simple woman, who never required much or needed much, just her family and of course her slot machines in Mesquite. She loved to play the slots. When she lived in Mesquite she made it a daily thing to do...And of course when shed win big money she never told Ben because she knew he would take her winnings..haha. She also loved to sew and quilt where she would make her 3 oldest daughters barbie clothes when they were younger. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church where she would go pray daily. She also loved her time with Ben when they would go to East Park and enjoy a campfire and cooking a hotdog over the open fire.
