Patsy Jean McKowen Freestone, age 77, of Vernal, wife of the late Roy Freestone, left her loved ones here on earth to join Roy and all her loved ones in Heaven, on Thursday, June 14, 2018. She married Roy Freestone on June 5, 1957. Roy passed away on June 22, 2015. Pat loved the laughter and happiness of life and the center of her universe was her family, who will all miss her terribly. Pat was working to organize and was looking forward to the McKowen family reunion next month...And she is now having the greatest reunion of all times with loved ones who have preceded her in death.
She is survived by her precious treasure, her daughter, Tami Freestone; Her grandchildren: Adrian McAdam, Amanda McAdam Laub and Matt McAdam; her great grandchildren: Zhalian Laub, Ryan Laub, Deliah Patsy Laub and Alyssia Laub; her sisters, Ada Horrocks, of Neola, Janiel Gardner, Cookie Richmond and Joan Hunting, all of Vernal, Veda Tomlinson, of Gusher, and Danny McKowen, of Roosevelt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy, Parents Burns and Ileene Warr McKowen, brothers and sisters: Ted McKowen, Mary Norton, Millie Etheredge, Clea Richmond, Howard McKowen, Phil McKowen, Ken McKowen, Betty June McKowen, and two infant sisters.
Pat worked at the Ashley Valley Hospital for a number of years as a nurses aide, providing care and love to patients. That characteristic was part of who Pat was, with compassion and love for people. Pat had an extraordinary sense of humor, her Irish wit was hilarious, she was a true entertainer. Her Irish charm endeared her to all she met. She leaves behind a heartbroken family who have all been blessed by her presence on earth.
