Wendy Sheffer Obituary

Wendy Lee McLean Sheffer, age 61 passed away on May 1, 2019, at her home in Vernal surround by her loving family. Wendy was born on October 7, 1957 in Vernal, Utah to LaVerda Timothy and Eugene McLean. Wendy married Lorin V. Sheffer on August 1, 1975 in Vernal, Utah. They were later sealed in the Provo Utah Temple on April 14, 1977.

Wendy enjoyed crafts, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved making new friends and serving others. She loved her church calling as the Primary Pianist. Playing the piano and organ was her passion. Wendy retired with 35 years of nursing.

She is survived by her husband Lorin Sheffer; children: Joseph (Tiffany) Sheffer, Clay (Tammy) Sheffer, Katie (Tucker) Christiansen, Gina Sheffer and Kimberlee (Cody) Moore.
Wendy is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and LaVerda McLean, brother Gary McLean, and son Jared Michael Sheffer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00a.m. at the Maeser 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (2575 North 1500 West). A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Tuesday 9:45-10:45AM at the church. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.Visitation Mon, May 6, 2019 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmVernal Memorial Park
