Andrea (Watkins) Erickson Poole of Vernal, Utah passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1st, 2024 in Vernal, Utah. She was 54 years old. Andrea was born in Bountiful, Utah on March 9, 1970 to Eda and De Watkins. Together they had five children and Andrea was the fourth child. She grew up in Ogden, Utah.
Throughout her growing years, Andrea enjoyed participating in various activities. Some of these include gymnastics and dance. Her mother taught her how to play piano. She loved being in nature and enjoyed participating in aerobics. While in junior high and high school, she was a member of the honor society. During her school years she enjoyed cheerleading and being on the tennis team. Andrea graduated from Bonneville High School in 1988.
After her graduation from high school, Andrea attended Weber State University and Brigham Young University. She married Shaun Erickson in the Logan, Utah Temple on June 25, 1994. They had a beautiful daughter, Brianna Michelle. Years later, they divorced. During her life, she has lived in various states including Washington, Tennessee, Idaho and Utah. During her child's early years she was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom. Later, Andrea was a wonderful secretary and paralegal. She was a very detail oriented and committed individual. The work she did brought her fulfillment and joy, both in raising her daughter and in her career.
Andrea was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She participated in various callings/roles throughout her lifetime, some of which include primary president, teacher, and activities leader.
Some words describing Andrea include compassionate, loyal, committed, gentle and loving. Her dedication and love for her daughter was of utmost importance. She loved being with her family, her daughter, and her granddaughter. She loved to spoil them every chance she could. Andrea had an enthusiastic love for animals and had pets constantly throughout her life including cats, dogs and a hamster. Cats were her favorite and she had many throughout her life. She also loved to spoil her pets. Even when unable to have pets in her home, she loved being able to care for animals outside of her home. Her compassionate nature showed through her dedication to others.
Andrea was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was committed and gave her whole heart to those she loved. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A private family service took place at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home with interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
