Anthony "Tony" Edwin Shimek

Anthony "Tony" Edwin Shimek passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 65. Tony was born on November 19, 1958 to Marion Horsley and Ernest Shimek in Lusk, Wyoming. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his nieces and nephews and their children. When there was something or someone needing done, he was always willing to help. He enjoyed working cattle on the ranch and always made things fun. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his one sister; Cathy (Joe) Deppe of Vernal, three brother; Terry Shimek of South Carolina, Bobby and Jerry Shimek of Vernal, Joesph (Channetll) Deppe of Rock Springs, Wyoming and their three children Brook, Raxton, and Elizabeth. Lyle (Blaze) Shimek of South Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents; Marion (Horsely) and Earnest Shimek of Vernal. A private family graveside service will take place with interment in Vernal Memorial Park. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
