Barbara Boman

Barbara Colleen Taylor Caton Boman passed away at age 94 on September 21, 2025 in Vernal, Utah.

Born on August 17, 1931 in Los Angeles to Sidney and Harriet (Johnson) Taylor, Barbara grew

up in California with her sister and two brothers. She lived a long and interesting life, had a

special interest in genealogy and called herself a scriptorian. She enjoyed her membership in

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, held many callings and served a mission with

her husband Verden to Alabama.

Barbara is survived by four of her children: Jim Caton, California; Judy (Tom) Langston,

California; Cindy Thompson, Colorado; Mike (Becky) Caton, Utah; and sister Doreen

Buterbaugh, California; her step-children; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four of her children: Dennis, Robert, Brian and Cathy;

grandchildren Bobby and Cherie Caton, David and Kristina Langston; husbands Jack Caton and

Verden Boman; brothers Sid and Monte Taylor; as well as her parents.

A special thanks to Holly Morton and the staff of Landmark Assisted Living; Rocky Mountain

Hospice; Anna & TJ Skero; Diane Hall; and Elise Hamann. Your loving care of Barbara during

her time as a resident was amazing and is so appreciated!

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Internment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
