Betty Jean Luna

Betty Jean Rodarte Luna passed away on June 13,2026 at the age of 74 surrounded by her loving family in her home. Betty was born April 29, 1952 to Pete and Ramona Rodarte in Delta Colorado. Betty married the love of her life LeeRoy Luna on June 13,1970. Betty worked as a floral designer, in a grocery store, and delivered meals on wheels till her and her family moved to Vernal Utah in 1999 where she worked at Uintah Care Center for 25 years as the supervisor over housekeeping and laundry.

Betty and LeeRoy had 4 children Willie, Christopher, Angel, and Elizabeth. Their children gave them 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She enjoyed going camping, fishing and spending quality time with the ones she loved most. Betty loved gardening, she loved takin care of her flower beds. Betty loved to host family get togethers at the home where her and LeeRoy worked tirelessly to make their family feel at home. She enjoyed trips to Colorado to get green chili and do some shopping with her siblings. She also loved spending time with her best friends Mary Ann Powers and Jackie Caldwell.

When she was not serving the community, you could find her and LeeRoy at their favorite breakfast places. Betty was always the safe place for her family; she was the best advice giver and a strong shoulder to lean on. 

She is survived by her Children Willie (Rendy) Luna of Vernal UT, Christopher Luna of Price UT, Angel (Jeremy) Hacking of Bay City, TX, Elizabeth (Korey) Knight of Wyoming. Siblings Virgina Alred, Robert Rodarte, John Rodarte, Dave Rodarte, Diane Rodarte (Sister- in- law), Junior (Jeanie) Luna (brother, sister-in-law); Grandchildren Shawn, Alexis, Shanta, Brittani, Kimberlee, Gage, Levi, Page, Jaylee, Aislyn, Xavier, Miranda, Gabriel, Addyson, Gracy, Philetta Jo, Junior, Kyler, Rylan, Taigen, Zoie, Kiera, Kayden, and Korey Jr. Great grandchildren, Aleijha, Zayauna, Jaxin, Emma, Daisy, Rosie, Bentley, Angel, Billy, Talissa, Shyanne, Maverick, Kohen and Xaxton. 

She is proceeded in death by her loving husband LeeRoy Luna, her mother and father, mother-in-law and father-in-law, her brother Vincent, sisters Jenny Garcia, Josie Romero and daughter in law Marie Luna, and sister-in-law Rene Eaton.
