Billie Lee Workman

Our Dear Father, Billie Lee Workman returned to our Heavenly Father and our Loving Mother on June 11, 2020. He was born June 2, 1929, in Vernal, Utah to Leland Franklin and Sarah Ann Oaks Workman. He attended school in Vernal and graduated from Uintah High School. He married Uvon Harvey on August 16, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. He started work for Chevron Pipeline in 1949. Through the years he worked in Colorado, Idaho, and Utah, and retired in 1989 after 40 years of service and loved every moment of those years. During that time he drove 1.6 million safe miles. He became an accomplished Electrician, Welder, and Instrument Specialist. He served faithfully in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was blessed with four children, Boneta (Brent) Brown, Glendon (Shanna) Workman, Robert (Suzanne) Workman and Cydnie (Jeff) Fox. He is survived by his current wife, Jean Nyberg Workman, Pocatello, Idaho. brothers and sisters, Ted Workman, DeAnn Stringham, Jim Workman and Nita Boren, and a large posterity that he loved so very much. His family meant everything in the world to him. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Uvon, and sisters LaNae Merkley, and Marie Gardner; and two great grandchildren. Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Beehive Home in Naples and Good Shepherd as well as Canyon that loved our Dad as we did, cared for him and blessed his life. We will always be in your debt for all you did for "Sweet Bill". A private family service will be held later in the week.
