Blaine Robert Watson

FUNERAL SERVICE LIVESTREAM LINK: https://vimeo.com/496109577. Blaine Robert Watson 5/29/1948 -12/28/2020. He was born to Doris A. Williams Mecham in Roosevelt Utah. He grew up in Upalco & Altamont area. He moved to Vernal with his Grandparents Sam & Agnes Williams in 1965. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1966. He then attended Snow College and received an Associates Degree. Blaine married Barbara Jean Cox on April 30, 1971 in Salt Lake City Utah. They had one daughter, Marcie Ann Watson of Vernal, and many beloved pets. Blaine worked in a few different industries until he moved into his lifetime career in 1976. What followed was his love of people and a dedication to serve our community for over 44 years in the Automobile Industry. He worked for Showalter Ford for 42 years. After their closing and without skipping one day of work, He moved to Downtown Auto Group where he continued to do what he loved, up until his very last day. Blaine was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors with his friends and family. His Alaskan fishing trips were some of his greatest adventures. He was also a very talented musician. He played many musical instruments, but he loved playing his guitars. From the time he was just a teenage boy, he always found himself playing gigs in various local bands, creating lifetime friendships. Blaine also used his vast knowledge of the local terrain to serve in the Uintah County Search and Rescue for over 17 years. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents; Sammuel & Agnes Williams; Parents Floyd & Doris Mecham. He is Survived by his wife Barbara Watson, Daughter Marcie Ann (Inoke) Buka, 3 Grandchildren; Melissa Ashleigh (Colby) Lindquist, Stettler Young, Sophia Young; and 5 Great Grandchildren; Tegan, Daylyn, Kenadi, and Braleigh Lindquist and Olivia Tippitts.
