Bobby Lee Higginbotham

Bobby "Bob" Lee Higginbotham, 57, passed away unexpectedly on August 18th 2026. He was born on August 16, 1969, in Roseburg, Oregon.

Bob spent his early years growing up in Oregon before moving to Rangely, Colorado, then eventually moving to Vernal, Utah, where he built much of his life.

For the majority of his adult life, Bob worked jobs connected to the oil rigs. He was an extremely hardworking man who knew the meaning of a hard day's work and took pride in doing what needed to be done.

Those who knew Bob will remember him for much more than how hard he worked. He had one of the biggest hearts and was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed him. Whether it was lending a hand, offering his time, or simply showing up, Bob had a way of helping the people around him.

That same heart for helping others extended into his community. Bob gave his time and support to local organizations, including Project Alley and Drug Court, where he found ways to help others and make a difference in the lives of people around him. Helping people was simply part of who Bob was.

Family was an important part of Bob's life. He leaves behind his three children, Morgan Higginbotham (Dillinger Mueller), Shane Karren, and Kaleb Higginbotham, who will carry his memory with them always.

He is also survived by his siblings, Dave Harris, Steve Harris (Robin Harris), Pat Harris (Joy Harris), and Melanie Hennerman (Ross Hennerman), along with extended family and friends who loved him and will miss him deeply.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Mattson, and his oldest brother, Tony Harris.

Though his passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, Bob's life will be remembered through the people he loved, the people he helped, the work he dedicated himself to, and the memories he leaves behind.

We find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with those who went before him, including his mother and brother.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held in the spring, allowing family and friends ample opportunity to attend and come together to honor and remember his life. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Ashley Funeral Home to help his children with the unexpected expenses following his passing. The family is deeply grateful for the love, support, and generosity shown during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
