Bonita Elizabeth (Herold) Steele

Bonita E. Steele passed away on February 9th, 2023, at the age of 89. Bonita was born on February 16th, 1934, to Bonita Nay and Carl Herold in Oak Creek, Colorado. Bonita married Carl Duane Steele on June 29th, 1952 in Oak Creek Colorado. Bonita never met a stranger, loved to hum a tune, and she was very generous with her time. She loved her chickens and dogs, and she loved her children and family. She is survived by her daughter, Spring Phillips, of Vernal; and son, Russ (Renee) of Jensen, Utah. Also survived by four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; brother Carl Herold Jr. of Yampa, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bonita Nay and Carl Herold; husband Duane Steele; sisters Virgina Miles and Carol Villa; brother Wesley Herold; grandson Justin C. Eliasen; and son-in-law Elwood L. Phillips. Special thanks to Canyon Home Health & Hospice, especially Shelly & Connie for their love and care for our mom.
