Bonnie Lou Hansen, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Bonnie was born on November 16, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Allen and Melba Mooney. She later made her way to Utah, where she built a life filled with family, faith, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
Bonnie married Jim in Caineville, Utah, on September 13, 1969, in a ceremony performed by Bishop Lee. They later divorced.
Bonnie loved her children and grandchildren deeply. Spending time with them brought her great joy throughout her life. Her family was one of the greatest sources of happiness in her life, and the memories they made together will be treasured forever.
Bonnie also had a strong love for God and developed a deep faith throughout her life. She enjoyed attending church, and her faith remained an important part of who she was. Even through the challenges of her later years, Bonnie held firmly to her faith until the very end.
Bonnie was a hard worker throughout her life. She was known for her determination and dedication, even walking to work every day at the Antlers Best Western. Her willingness to work hard and keep moving forward was a reflection of the strength she carried throughout her life.
She also had a beautiful love for nature. Hummingbirds held a particularly special place in her heart. Her appreciation for the outdoors and the simple beauty of nature was deeply woven into who Bonnie was. The sight of a hummingbird, the beauty of the world around her, and the peaceful moments spent appreciating nature were among the things that brought her happiness.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Matt Hansen, Mike Hansen, William Hansen, Bart (Nancy) Hansen, and Aaron Hansen and her daughterSharon Ormsbee, as well as her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth; her parents, Allen and Melba Mooney; her sister, Shirley; and her brother, Larry.
Bonnie will be remembered for her love of family, her strong faith, her determination, her kind heart, and her appreciation for the beauty of God's creation. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and all those who knew her.
Bonnie will be deeply missed. We love her so much and will carry her memory with us always.
