Carma Cook

Carma Rae Bowthorpe was born to Alma Nephi Bowthorpe and Ida Kolb on October 29, 1926 and passed away in her sleep December 10, 2012 at her home in Vernal.

She had many church callings and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She married Hal Leonard Cook on July 28, 1945 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Temple on September 12, 1950.

Carma is survived by her daughters: Dixie Cook, Jeri (Rick) Anderson, and Nancy Cook; grandchildren: Tammy Simpson, Todd Cory, Tracey Cory, Malia Stringham, Michael Henline, and Mason Smith; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; three sisters: Vida McKee, Leora Bowthorpe, and Dacey Hullinger; two brothers: Leo and Rulan Bowthorpe, and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11AM at the Vernal First Ward (475 West 100 South). A viewing will be held Wednesday evening 6~8 PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West) and 9:45~10:45AM prior to the services at the Chapel. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
