Carolyn (Simmons) Duke

Carolyn Simmons Duke passed away on December 21, 2020 at the age of 101. Carolyn was born on January 14, 1919 to Lela Gardner Simmons and Clyde Simmons in Avant, Oklahoma.

Carolyn married Harold Duke on July 10, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Carolyn enjoyed skiing and dancing. She was very active in clubs and promoting Vernal. Carolyn was in Current Topics for over 50 years. Carolyn and her family owned and operated the Antlers Motel for over 70 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Duke Vierra, brother-in-law Earl Woolley, special niece Mary Margaret Simmons, special nephew, Dr. John Simmons, special friend Christina Squires who was with Carolyn for 24 years.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Harold, granddaughter Alyson Hileman, great granddaughter Brittney Hileman.
