Casity Nathan Fillingim

Casity Nathan Fillingim left a huge hole in our heart on September 9, 2024 at the age of 49. Casity was born on October 13, 1974 to Ned and Connie Fillingim. Casity married the love of his life, Amber Sanders on August 20, 1993. Casity worked in the oilfield with his whole heart and soul, never giving anything less than 110%. He met many great friends throughout his career, who he loved and cherished. After being forced by Amber to finish high school, Casity immediately started his career in the oilfield and never looked back. He started his career as a roustabout and then onto the workover rigs, quickly advancing his way up to pusher, before moving on to a tool hand, manager, then eventually a consultant, salesman, and technical advisor. Casity loved the oilfield with his whole heart and enjoyed creating a solution for each new and unique "job" that fell upon him. It truly was his passion. All Casity wanted was to provide the best life for his family, and that he did. Working long hours, days, weeks, and even a few years away from home, made it all worth it for when he got to come back and spend time with those he loved and cared for the most. Casity absolutely loved hunting in the place his heart lies, the Bookcliffs, fishing in Alaska with family and friends, and also had a passion for collecting and shooting his guns that led him to eventually learn how to reload his own ammo as a hobby. On top of all that he was the best dad a couple of kids could ask for, always showing up no matter what and being their number one fan. Casity is survived by his wife Amber, children Lexi (Rowdy), Dylan and Benelli (his "little baby" puppy). His parents Ned Fillingim and Connie & George Patton, sister Kristy Fillingim, his mother in law Elaine Sanders and Amber's siblings that claimed him as a brother, Scott, Mark and Shelby Sanders, many aunts, uncles and cousins along with many true and great friends and brothers from the "patch." Casity is preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph (his idol) & Dortha Ivie, Nate & Lorraine Fillingim and father in law Gene Sanders. Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 am at the Uintah Conference Center, 313 E 200 S - Vernal, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 N 800 W - Vernal, UT and Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 9:45 - 10:45 am at Uintah Conference Center, 313 E 200 S - Vernal, UT. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, 1700 S Vernal Ave - Vernal, UT.
