Charles "Chuck" Stringham was born on April 5, 1949 as the first child of Dr. Paul G. Stringham and Jeanne C. Stringham. He spent his childhood in Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah before attending high school at The Abbey in Cannon City, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate and MBA at the University of Utah. Chuck worked for The Williams Companies (formerly Northwest Pipeline) for 35 years. After retiring from Williams, he pursued vast amounts of knowledge in computer programming languages.
Chuck was an avid runner, swimmer, and cyclist. He enjoyed his daily jogs, whether they were around home, at the cabin, or on one of his travels. He enjoyed travel, boating, tennis (both playing and watching professional matches), and photography. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time and traveling with his daughter, Erin, who was the light of his life.
Chuck is survived by his only child and daughter Erin Stringham, his brother Alfred (Pat) Stringham, sister Barbara (Brock) Thorne, sister Debra (Ken) Deller and 10 nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Paul G. and Jeanne C. Stringham and his sister Paula (Ted) Mecham.
Services will be held at 11am on Friday, May 24 at Ashley Valley Mortuary in Vernal, Utah at 410 800 W St., Vernal, UT 84078. In lieu of flowers, please visit and donate to medicine.utah.edu/orthopaedics/giving.
