Charlotte Wagner, age 85 and 10 months, passed away peacefully of natural causes and surrounded by her loved ones at her home on January 20, 2026.
Born on February 22, 1940, in Jackson, Mississippi, Charlotte lived a life filled with deep faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and abundant love. She bore 14 children-13 sons and 1 daughter-and raised them with kindness, sweetness, and tireless care. Charlotte bore a strong testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and was a devout, convert member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith guided her daily, bringing comfort, strength, and joy to her and those around her.
She was a kind, sweet, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched countless lives.
Charlotte is survived by 11 of her sons: David, Daniel, Dennis, Douglas, Darren, Dale, Dwayne, Derick, Donovan, Dwight, and Dustin; and her only daughter: Cynthia; along with her 59 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David J. Wagner Sr.; her parents, Paul Wright/Nellie Minton; and her sons, Donald Wagner and Dean Wagner.
Viewing and Service Details: The family viewing will be held February 6, 2026 in The Glines 8th Ward LDS Chapel located at 1270 West 1500 South from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and a community viewing will be from 9:45am to 10:45am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am.
Interment will follow at Rock Point Cemetery, 2500 West 2500 North (also listed as 2000 West 2500 North in some records), Vernal, Utah. Followed by a family luncheon to be held back at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions to the General Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which supports missionary work worldwide in honor of Charlotte's strong testimony and Christ-centered life. Charlotte's enduring faith, her profound love for her large family, and her sweet, Christ-centered life, will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is now reunited with her Savior and loved ones who have gone before, resting in His peace.
