Chloe G Slaugh

Chloe Givens Slaugh was born November 17, 1935 to James Albert Givens and Mary Myrtle Wheeler in Duchesne, Utah. On July 28, 1956 she married Joseph Don Slaugh. Chloe and Don shared 61 years together. In Chloes earlier years she enjoyed spending time on the mountain with her family fishing, hunting and camping. She also enjoyed playing cards, and the occasional trip to Wendover. She spent time reading, studying the bible, crocheting, and visiting with dear friends. Chloe was a loyal and dedicated wife, and often worked beside her husband running their ranch. Chloe is survived by sons Mark (Alisa) Slaugh of Vernal, and Matt (Heather) Slaugh of Windsor, Colorado; brothers Burle Givens of Grand Junction, Colorado and Alex (Renee) Givens of Grantsville, Utah; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Chloe is preceded in death by her husband Don; her parents, siblings: Lamar, Laurence, George, Ona and Victoria. Chloe is very loved and will be missed by many. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1PM at the Vernal Memorial Park (1700 South Vernal Avenue). A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West).
