Christi Harris

Christi Marie Tesar Harris was born in Vernal, Utah on October 18th 1981 to Tod and Cathy Tesar. Christi passed away on Thursday August 27th 2015. In Salt Lake City, Utah.

Christi graduated from Uintah High School in the year 2000. She lived in Hawaii for a year and a-half where She attended BYU Hawaii and received her Bachelor Degree in 2003. She then attended the University of Utah where she graduated with honors with a Master's Degree in 2004. Christi received various scholarships and awards during her college years.

She married Michael Sterling Harris on September 18th 2004. Together they helped each other raise three beautiful children-Mason, Rylee and Sutton.

Christi loved sports. She played High School Varsity Soccer for 4 years. Growing up she played Basketball, Baseball and wanted to play Tackle Football but Mom and Dad won't let Her. University of Utah Football games and March Madness Basketball where two of her Favorite times of the year. Christi's other great love was taking entire family vacations or going with her grandparents wherever they wanted to take her. She loved being with family. Christi was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in a variety of church callings, but really loved serving in the Primary.

She had the pleasure of working at Northeastern Counseling Center as a Therapist. She truly loved her profession and the many friends she had there. Her favorite people to work with were the children. Christi always felt a strong need to help them overcome their challenges and suceed in life.

Christi is survived by her husband Mike Harris; children: Mason, Rylee and Sutton Harris; parents Tod and Cathy Tesar; her brother's Steven (Laci) and Jordon (Emily) Tesar; her grandparents Jack and Mildred Seitz and Janet Tesar; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Benjamin Tesar.

Funeral Services Tuesday will be held September 1st, 2015 at 11:00 am. at Glines Stake Center (78 South Aggie Blvd). A viewing will be held Monday August 31st from 6-8 pm. at Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West) and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 am at the Glines Stake Center. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
