Clarence Freestone

Roy C. Freestone, age 79, of Vernal, Utah, husband of Pat McKowen Freestone died on June 22, 2015 at his home in Vernal surrounded by his family. Roy was a very talented and gifted artist, cartoonist, craftsman and musician. Roy was renown for his weekly cartoon series in the Vernal Express, his beautiful paintings and excellent sign paintings. 

Roy is survived by his wife, Pat of Vernal; daughter Tami Freestone; grandchildren: Adrian McAdam, Matthew McAdam and Amanda Laub; four great grandchildren: Zhalian Laub, Ryan Laub, Delilah Laub and Alyssia Laub; one brother, Ted Freestone of Vernal and one sister Afton Campbell of Hutchison, Kansas. 

Roy is preceded in death by his parents and step brother, Ken Freestone.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1 P.M. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing was held Thursday evening from 6~8 P.M. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Friday 11:45~12:45 P.M. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park.
