Clark Boy Abegglen age 91, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Sept. 25, 2017 at his home in Vernal, Utah. Clark was born on Jan. 16, 1926 to Lawrence and Edlean Abegglen in Vernal, Utah. Clark was a World War 2 Veteran, he served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. Clark married Arva Mary Atwood on June 7, 1947 in Vernal, Utah. They later moved to Pleasant Valley Utah, where he farmed and ranched the majority of his life, and where he raised his family. They then moved to Vernal, where they spent their retirement years happily together. Clark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held many callings including being a Bishop twice. He loved the Lord and his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Clark was preceded in death by the love of his life of 69 years, Arva Mary Atwood Abegglen, 3 brothers, and 6 sisters. He is survived by one sister, Katherine (Carl) Hauttfleisch of Salt Lake City. Clark is also survived by his 5 children, Susan (Richard) Workman, Vicki (Cregg) Oaks, Jet (Sandra) Abegglen, Rhea (Monte) Whitt, and Reed (Darlene) Abegglen, along with 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services for Clark Boy Abegglen, age 91, of Vernal, will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Maeser 7th Ward LDS Chapel 2745 West 1000 North. A visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 A.M. at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park with Military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11 and the Utah National Guard. Services are under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
