Clifton L Perry

Our best friend, father, grandfather, great grandfather Clifton L. Perry passed away on March 4th, 2022, at the age of 98. Cliff led a very full life touching many and was respected by all. From 1943-1945, he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in the 558th Field Artillery tank battalion in Northern Europe. After returning from the war, Cliff married Elaine Thomas, his childhood sweetheart, where they built a beautiful life together in Vernal, Utah. They moved from Oakland, California - along with Elaine's sister Rhae and husband Oakley Larson - where the two couples established the Piedmont Dairy and served the community for many years. In 1960, Cliff and Elaine purchased the GM Dealership where their twins, Russ and Roger, and their spouses, Sara and Sherry, continued to manage the company. Over nearly 70 years, all kids and grandkids had the pleasure of contributing to the dealership. After Elaine passed away in 1996, Cliff devoted his time to his beautiful yard and to his family, welcoming Russ's second wife, Cindy, and her children. At the age of 82, he found love again when he met and married Cathy Chamberlain - expanding the family further to include Cathy's children, Pete and Diane. Cathy and Cliff spent the next 7 years happily married until Cathy passed away in 2012. In 2018, Cliff's son Russ passed away. Although he lost many loved ones throughout his life, Cliff's heart and dedication to his family continued to grow. He adored his daughter-in-law Sherry, his four grandkids: Ryan, Kevin (Ryan Pollick), Jessie and Katie; and his ten great-grandkids: Aspynn, Camdyn, Kaya, Logan, Skye, Cadence, River, Rowan, Kynlee, Kaylee and Kamryn. Cliff enjoyed an extremely active and healthy life for nearly a century. He was a true gentleman. His honesty, integrity and kindness were an inspiration to all. A military graveside service will be planned at a later date.
