Clyde Norman Ruppe, age 84, husband of the late Alice Bodily Ruppe, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born on April 21, 1937, to Reva Marie Simmons Ruppe and Cecil Putnam "Mike" Ruppe on the family farm in Vernal, Utah. He served in the Utah National Guard 115th Engineer Battalion Company in Fort Lewis, Washington during the Berlin Crisis. After returning he served a mission for 2 1/2 years in the Netherlands. Clyde and Alice were married on November 10, 1967, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They went on to have 10 children - Norman, Glen, Phillip, Christopher, Alicia, Andrew, Michael, Angela, Alayna, and Adrianna. Mom called him a workaholic - dad knew how to work, he worked hard, and worked until the job was done. The most important things to dad were his testimony of his Savior, his sweetheart of more than 54 years, and his large family that he was so proud of. He is survived by his brother Jack (Reita) Ruppe; sisters Shirley Oldaker and Gladys Peterson; sons Glen (Vici), Phillips, Christopher, Andrew, Michael (KC); daughters Alicia Wilkins, Angela (Taylon) Slaugh, Alayna, and Adrianna (Eric) Fuchs all of Vernal; 26 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sweetheart of 54 years Alice; parents "Mike" and Reva, son Norman, grandson Tyler, great grandson Colton, brother Larry, sister Janet, sister and brothers-in-law. Our family would like to thank the many kind nurses, especially throughout dialysis (Jackie, JC, and Lauri), for your love and care to our dad. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 South 2500 East). Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 4, 2022, from 6pm~8pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home, and Saturday from 9:45am ~ 10:45am at the church. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11 and the Patriot Guard Riders.
