Constance Ruth Johnson

Constance "Connie" Ruth Johnson passed away on Friday October 15, 2021 at the age of 63. Connie was born on January 14, 1958 to Annette Lorraine Olsen and Lloyd Emmitt Johnson in Ricelake, Wisconsin. Connie for years at JC Penny's. She pursued her education at Utah State University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. Connie then changed her career and went to work at Utah State University for the remaining of her career before retiring. Connie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which she joined as a teenager in Buckeye, Arizona. Her membership in the church guided many of her decisions she made and interest she had. She loved the temple and was very interested in family history. She loved the outdoors but her health issues over the years limited the time she could be out in nature. She made up for this with craft work. Knitting, crocheting and other craft skills occupied much of her time, and she was very talented. She knitted caps for newborn children in the hospital among other projects. Many family members and friends have items she created with her hands with skill and love. She loved people and gave that love freely to all she encountered. She always seemed to leave the people better than when she encountered them. She is survived by her mother's; Annette Lund, and Julia Johnson and siblings; David (Debbie) Flannery, Stacy (Devon) Taylor, Gerald "Max" (April) Flannery, Dorraine (Kirk) Robbins, Brian (Janna) Johnson, Barry (Janese) Johnson, Jonathan (Fern) Flannery, Robert (Yvonne) Flannery, Sara (Lewis) Cox, Jennifer (Milind) Johnson-Talekar, Julie (Terry) Burton, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Emmitt Johnson. A memorial service for Connie will be held on Saturday October 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Vernal 4th Ward Chapel (235 East 600 North). A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:45am - 12:45pm at the church. Interment will take place in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
