Craig Grant Herbert passed away at Intermountain Medical center in Murray, Utah at age 61, with his beloved family at his side. He was born on September 1, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Grant H and Gail Merrell Herbert. They lived in Woods Cross, Utah until he was 11, when the family moved to Ballard, Utah where he met many lifelong friends. He never met a stranger. He touched the lives of so many people. He had a generous heart and, as his friends and family will remember him by, his infectious smile and laugh. There were many times he stepped up to help and it never mattered if it was family, friend, or a complete stranger. He was so proud of his family and always worked hard to give them the best life he could. He enjoyed many talents, woodworking, working on cars, cooking, collecting antiques, his tint business, and most of all, he was passionate and proud of his family. His favorite pastime was anything his kids did. He was always cheering them on from their music, to sports and school activities. In 2001, he met Malou Rendon and they married in May 2003 and lived in Trinidad, Colorado until 2004 when they moved back to Vernal, Utah where they would make their home and raise their family. Craig is survived by his mom, Gail Herbert; his beloved wife Malou Herbert; Children Alden, Kristina, and Samantha; Sister Kris (James) Carlstrom; special nephew, Alex, and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his dad, Grant Herbert and grandparents, Alden and Ella Merrell and Don and Christena Herbert.
