Cristy Denise (Brundage) Oaks

Cristy Denise (Brundage) Oaks was called home on Wednesday June 19, 2024, at the age of 65, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Cristy was born on March 24, 1959, to Judith (Bird) Brundage and Eugene Brundage in Price, Utah. Cristy married David Oaks on June 2, 2001, in Lapoint Utah. Cristy and David were later sealed in the Vernal Temple for Time and Eternity on September 18, 2004. Cristy was active and served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After Cristy and David were married, she found a love for fishing, camping, rock hunting, and going on ATV rides. She loved traveling and exploring different places with her sweetheart. She loved spending time with her family and friends and boy did she love her cats. She was her children and grandchildren biggest supporter. She cherished and loved her family. She had the most beautiful smile. Everything she did, she did with a smile. Our mom had a true love for life! She is survived by her sweetheart; David Oaks, their children Cory (April) Oaks, Jody (Mon) Oaks, Kevin (Valeri) Oaks, Dustin (Crystal) Stevenson, Deena Oaks, Greg (Jessie) Stevenson, Laura Oaks, Courtney (Jon) Wagner, and Jordan (Amanda) Stevenson. Also survived by her mother, Judith Brundage; her sisters, Connie (Steve) Waterson, Reva (Kevin) Patterson, Robin (the late Bryan Taylor) Taylor, Jodi (Mike) Cooper, and Kim Brundage; 31 Grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father; Eugene Brundage, brothers; Robert Brundage and Kelly Brundage, and grandson; Henry Wagner. The family would like to thank Cristy's Canyon Care Team for their service, care, and compassion. Funeral services for Cristy will be held Saturday, June 29, at 10:00am at the Lapoint LDS Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm and Saturday from 8:45am ~ 9:45am all at the church. Interment will be in Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
