Dale Devilla Carr passed away December, 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. Dale was born to Paul Devilla Carr and Emma Mae Simon Bohrer on December 19, 1956 in Craig, Colorado. He married Elaine Fisher on April 24, 1976. They were blessed with three boys, Jason Gale, Justin Dale and Travis James Carr. Dale loved life. He was a friend to all he met. He was a diesel mechanic and worked for R. W. Jones trucking for many years. He was very handy and could fix anything he put his hands on. He became interested in woodworking and was a talented craftsman building gifts for friends and family. He crafted hundreds of beautiful canes and walking sticks and gave them to people he knew. He loved spending his winters in Arizona where he met and made many special friends. He loved camping in the Book Cliffs and on Diamond Mountain where he put many miles on his side by side traveling different trails and finding treasures with his medal detector. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren who he adored. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings, his favorite was as a nursery leader where all the children loved him. He will be missed by his wife Elaine and children, Jason (Shelby), Justin (Amber) and Travis (Amanda) Carr and grandchildren, T.J., Alyviah, Emaly, Jaidyn, Taylor, Alli, Breanna, Lane, Jace, Brookelyn, Nova and Hudson. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Barbara Kelley, Arny (Shirley) Eksund, Dawn Calendine and Quentin Toone and brother-in-law, Randy Batty He is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Jim and June Fisher and sister, Tammy Batty. Funeral services for Dale will be held Saturday December 7, 2024 at 12:00pm at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, (3040 North Vernal Ave). Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home, and Saturday from 10:45am ~ 11:45am at the church. Interment in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
