Listen to Obituary

Darius L. Anderson, 53, passed away on July 15, 2026, in Duluth, Georgia. He was born on May 22, 1973, in Vernal, Utah, to his parents, Judy and Shris Anderson.

Darius was raised in Vernal and attended Uintah High School. In September of 1994, he married Mayra Anderson, and together they welcomed their son, Riley Anderson. Though they later divorced, they remained lifelong friends.

Darius found his passion in working as an X-ray technician, dedicating many years to the profession throughout the state of Utah. In his later years, he became a traveling technician, fulfilling his dream of seeing the country while doing the work he loved.

Known for his humor and easygoing nature, Darius was always a joker who could make anyone laugh. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the mountains, and taking long rides on his Harley. He had a deep love for aviation and was endlessly fascinated by planes. Above all, he loved the ocean. Darius made countless friends throughout his life in the many places he called home. He was a loyal, kind-hearted man who found joy in the simple things. He deeply loved his pets and his family, but nothing meant more to him than his son, Riley.

Darius is survived by his son, Riley (Sam) Anderson; his brother, Ronald (Susy) Anderson; his parents, Shris and Judy Anderson; and many other beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both the Luck and Anderson sides, as well as friends he made along the way and many cherished pets.

Darius will be truly missed and forever remembered for his laughter, loyalty, and the light he brought into the lives of those who knew him.

No formal services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
