Daryl Colton, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, uncle cousin and friend passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2025 surrounded by family, leaving behind a lifetime of love, hard work, and cherished memories. Born on September 18, 1957, in Vernal, Utah, to Colleen Rasmussen Colton and Ted Colton. Daryl grew up with a strong work ethic and an even stronger love for family. On August 18, 1979, Daryl married the love of his life, Sylena, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their bond was one of true partnership, creating a home filled with warmth and countless treasured memories. A skilled brick mason by trade, Daryl took great pride in his craftsmanship, leaving behind a legacy of hard work that will stand the test of time. But beyond his work, his true joy came from the simple things: side-by-side rides, jazz games, baseball, ski doo's, playing cards and watching all of his children's and grandchildren's activities. Sunday dinners surrounded by family, and the laughter of those he loved most. Daryl was a loving father to his three children, a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, and a doting great-grandfather to one great-grandchild. His kindness, humor, and steadfast love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sylena, his children Rory (Stormy) Colton, Hailey (Chance) Heckethorn, and Christina Colton. Grandchildren Rylee (Tyler) Kennington, Kyler Heckethorn, Treyson Heckethorn, Strattan Colton, Masyn Heckethorn, Briggstan Colton and Sawyer Colton. Great-grandchild Brexleigh Kennington. Siblings Carma (Dennis) Bascom, Bruce (Marlyn) Colton, Julie Massey, Tamara Colton. Lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ted and Colleen along with his step dad Kelly Powell. His father in law Larry Pilling, brother Steven Lowe, brother in law Lon Hanley, sister in law Cindy Maguire, nephews Lance and Brett Bascom, LJ Hanley and Adam Maguire.
