Debra McMickell

Debbie was born to William “Sonny” and Janice Clayton in Gunnison, Colorado on December 17, 1957. She married the love of her life, Randy McMickell, on January 6, 1976. They had four children: Kristi Robinson (Tommy), Shaun Sr. McMickell (Mallorie), Shane McMickell (Mallory), and Jesse McMickell (Tieran). They had sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, countless nieces & nephews.

Debbie was endlessly dedicated to her children and grandchildren, always making sure they were cared for, fed, and loved. She poured herself into her home and family, making everything by hand with love — from homemade meals to baked treats mixed from scratch. The warmth she created in her kitchen and home will forever be remembered by those lucky enough to gather there. Debbie dedicated many years of her life to working with Rise Services. She deeply cared for her clients, treating them like family and forming lasting bonds with many of them.

Debbie is survived by her mother Janice Clayton, sisters Teri Nichols (Steve), Susie Young (Larry), Katherine Adams (Rod), brother Billy Clayton, her four children and all of her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Randy McMickell, Father William “Sonny” Clayton, sister Tammy Clayton, and brother Michael Clayton.

Debbie passed surrounded by the love of her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her kindness, laughter, and caring heart will never be forgotten. The kindness and love Debbie gave so freely during her life made her an angel on earth long before she entered Heaven.

A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
