DeeLoris Richardson Jones passed through the vail, into her loving Father in Heavens arms, on May 6, 2025, at the beloved age of "almost 90". DeeLoris was born in Vernal, Utah on July 27, 1935. Nellie Elizabeth Collier (1895-1960) and James William Richardson (1881-1968). DeeLoris married Harry Alton Jones in Salt Lake City, Utah. Harry was in the U.S. Army and together they traveled where Harry was stationed in Tacoma, Washington. This is where their first and only son Ronald Harry Jones was born in 1954. Next, they were stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, where their first and oldest daughter, Sharon Dee Jones was born in 1956. Later, they moved back home to Naples, Utah where their last child and red-headed baby girl, Tammy Rae Jones was born on her Daddy's birthday and Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1958. DeeLoris was a business owner of Norge Cleaning from 1976-2017 (41 years). Norge Cleaning provided multiple services including dry cleaning, pressing, professional drapery service, cowboy level starching for rodeos in town, coin-op laundry, professional cleaning of Native American regalia for Pow Wows, impressive stain removal from any garment, her amazing oilfield greaser service, and much more. She provided the best and cleanest greaser service in town. Many patrons would call her "Grandma Norge". Patrons would talk to her and tell her their life stories and problems. She always had a great listening ear. DeeLoris started selling Avon in 1964. She sold Avon for 35 years. She loved the connections it would bring with people she sold it too. She also loved collecting the Avon products for herself. DeeLoris worked at the Trailway Cafe. She also worked at 7-11 Ranch Restaurant. She would walk from her home in Naples all the way up town to get to work. She said it was her first job at age 17. It was also her last job in 1976 before she and Harry bought Norge Cleaning Center. DeeLoris and Harry later divorced but remained very close and were good friends. Harry later got married to Penny Johnson, who brought her three loving children Christy, Kimberly, and Cory into the family. This family, joined with DeeLoris's family, into one big family. DeeLoris and Penny became very close personal friends. When Harry passed away, Penny remarried to Rudy Wiersma and the family grew even more. Rudy and Penny served DeeLoris by brining vegetables from their garden during the summers and homemade fudge and treats for Christmas. Family Easter picnics, at Split Mountain George Campground, were a family tradition for manyyears. Family would come for miles around to eat her famous macaroni salad. Family and friends were always welcome to come and celebrate and eat. The kids enjoyed climbing up the rocks and easter egg hunting, while the adults had a chance to visit and catch up on life events. DeeLoris loved walking for exercise. She and her sister-in-law Minnie Jones would walk everyday for many years. She also loved spending time and talking with her lifelong friend of 70 years, Neita Hardy Huber. She was a 'spelunker' and explored many local caves with friends and children, especially her son Ronald. DeeLoris enjoyed rock climbing and collecting unique, unusual, and beautiful rocks. Her ex-son-in-law Dan (Christy) Merrell would bring DeeLoris home HUGE decorative round boulders for her yard. He also brought her many Blue Spruce Christmas trees throughout the years. After DeeLoris became disabled her ex son-in-law, Earl Freeman, would come and sit with her and keep her company sometimes watching her when Sharon and Rabecca had to take off for appointments or to run errands. DeeLoris quit smoking cigarettes April 1st, 1977, after 25 years of smoking. She was always extremely proud of this accomplishment. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For many years, DeeLoris served as the ward librarian, a visiting teacher, and in the primary nursery. She also served in the Vernal Utah Temple, for many years, as an ordinance worker. She was also involved in cleaning of the temple as well. She loved her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all her heart. She enjoyed taking many of her grandchildren to church with her. Grandma was especially good at tickling our backs and giving "Gremlin" kisses. DeeLoris is preceded in death by her mother Nellie Elizabeth Collier Richardson, her father James William Richardson. Siblings, George William Richardson, Gladys Richardson McAllister, Clyde Walter Richardson, Raymond James Richardson, Dorenne Richardson, and her grandsons Robert Rhondale Jones and James William (Billy) Richardson Merrell.
