Devona Carroll (Cook) Irwin Timothy

Our beloved mother, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend, DeVona Carroll (Cook) Irwin Timothy, passed away on Thursday morning, November 25, 2021. DeVona was born June 28, 1934 in Vernal, Utah. She was one of thirteen children born to Harold and Cora Cook. DeVona married Ray Irwin on November 26, 1952. DeVona and Ray welcomed daughter Peggy Raie on February 27, 1955. DeVona was Peggy's best friend and confidante; and the two shared a special bond that can never be broken. Ray preceded DeVona in death on October 30, 1987. DeVona married Kay Timothy in September of 1995. Kay passed away January 6, 2007. DeVona's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved good movies, country music and visiting with friends and family. She was cherished and will be greatly missed. DeVona is survived by daughter Peggy (Kayle) Jacobsen, siblings Dall (Ellen) Cook and Ned (Connie) Cook, grandson Mikel (Glenda) Sullivan, great-grandson Christofer, many beloved nieces and nephews and canine and feline companions, Buster and Snoopy. She was preceded in death by parents, brothers Veral, Bud, Glade, Glenn and Shirley, sisters Bulia, Raie, Virgie, Iona and Nadean, husband Ray, husband Kay, grandsons Mitch, Kristopher, Karson and granddaughter Randi and cherished dog Tinker. Funeral Services for DeVona will be held Wednesday December 1st at 11:00am at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday from 9:45am ~ 10:45am at the mortuary. Interment will take place next to her husband Ray Irwin in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
