Diane Bigelow

Diane Elizabeth Bigelow passed away January 31, 2013 at her home in Vernal, Utah. She was born in Vernal, Utah on May 21, 1957 to Wayne D. Batty and Karen Elizabeth Batty. She graduated from Uintah High School in Vernal, Utah.

Diane lived a happy and active life raising her family, teaching aerobics, coaching tumbling and gymnastics with her friend and partner Laurie Kremin and coaching high school cheerleading with her friend and co-coach Ann Stewart.

Diane married Stuart Bigelow on June 2, 1975 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in various leadership and teaching positions. Diane was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all

Diane is survived by her loving husband Stuart Bigelow, son: Chris (Sammie) Bigelow, daughter: Amy Dawn (Eric) Oldson (Orem, Ut), son: Dirk (Jana) Bigelow (Commerce City, CO), Daughter: Marcy Ann (David) Taylor, son: Greg Bigelow and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Linda) Batty (Rocksprings, WY), David (Jody) Batty (Vernal, UT); and sisters, Sherry (Farley) Sowards (North Salt Lake, UT), and Sheila Slaugh (Vernal, UT).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Karen Batty; brother, Kevin Kay Batty, and her sister Janielle Batty.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Vernal 6th Ward (850 West 100 North) at 11 AM. A viewing was held Monday evening from 6~8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and 9:45~10:45AM prior to services at the Chapel. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
