Donald Gale Batty

Donald Gale Batty passed away May 28, 2023, at the age of 66. Gale was born April 29, 1957, to Ron and Nila Batty in Roosevelt Utah. Gale married the love of his life, Tamara Johnson, December 10, 1980, in Provo, Utah. Gale enjoyed hunting, farming, ranching, camping, driving in the mountains, traveling, solving problems, and building projects. He most enjoyed doing any of those activities with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Gale will be remembered for his sharp wit, joyful laugh, story and joke telling skills, love for the great outdoors, ability to make anybody laugh no matter their disposition, and a lifelong passion for teaching and expounding the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his mother Nila, wife Tamara, children Tamara (Midget) and Kaleb Spaulding, Jennie and Carl Morton, Jessie and Clint Morton, Steven and Ashley Batty, and Luke Batty, grandchildren JJ, Sterling, Zack, and Zina Spaulding, Abby, Maddy, Stockton and Bailey Morton, Lexi, Brooklyn, Ronnie, and Cooper Morton, Miles, Jack, Stevie and McLane Batty. He is preceded in death by his father Ron Batty and grandson Reno Morton. UPDATED Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11AM at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (3040 North Vernal Avenue). A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Friday 9:30-10:30AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Utah Mission Tijuana, a 501(c)(3) that fosters independence through education.
