Donald Leroy Jackson

Donald Leroy Jackson passed away on March 1, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 85. Donald was born February 5, 1934 in Southgate, California to Eleanor Smith and Elmo Walton. Donald married his wife Barbara on May 8, 1954 in Elko, Nevada. Donald was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved hunting, fishing, going to grandkids ball games and loved being a Wal-Mart Greeter. He enjoyed gardening, woodwork, sports, and watching old western movies. Donald is survived by his wife Barbara Jackson; daughters: Jackie Smith Tafeya, Lenore (Rick) Jones, Teera (Burk) Young; 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Donald is preceded in death by his son Stanley Lee Jackson. Funeral services will be held Friday March 8, 2019 at 11AM at the Maeser Stake Center (2745 West 1000 North). A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Friday 9:45-10:45AM at the church.
