Donna Fansher passed away on September 18, 2024 at the age of 69 after a long battle with dementia. She was born on October 14, 1954 to Clinton and Ruth Gnagey in El Dorado, Kansas. She was the middle child of five, her strong spirit reflected that. She had an incredible work ethic and took pride in passing that along to her children. Donna met and married Richard Fansher in Oklahoma and they recently passed their 52nd wedding anniversary. She was a homemaker when her kids were small (she sold goods at craft fairs that she quilted and sewed). She worked as a secretary, as a bookkeeper, and miscellaneous jobs for many businesses. She was a loving mother and wife, she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids. Her favorite place was in the mountains exploring, hiking and fishing. She enjoyed crafts and researching genealogy in her younger years. You could find her anywhere from canning in the kitchen to helping put on a new roof. Holidays were a special time with her - baking cookies, making candy, and family gatherings are cherished memories. She will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband Richard Fansher of Vernal, son Marshall Fansher and grandson Aaron Fansher of Salt Lake City, daughter Linde Jacks (Randy) and grandsons Colt and Wyatt of Fruita, Colorado; four siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. We are thankful for the compassionate care she received both at the Uintah Care Center and when she was in the Ashley Regional Medical Center. Everyone who provided her care is lovingly appreciated. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date under the direction of Phillip's Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
