Dora Burgess Barnes

Dora Dee Burgess Barnes, Age 52, passed away on February 14, 2018 from Influenza B and Pneumonia. Dora was born September 19, 1965 in Montrose Colorado to David and Helen Burgess . She graduated with her High School Diploma in the class of 1983Dora's hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, singing to old time music in remembrance of her father, canning, cooking, helping others, and most importantly spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved grandbabies Emmett Barnes, LynnDe Aguilar, and Rylynn Hacking. Dora's life revolved around her family and the outdoors. We will miss her dearly and will always keep her in our thoughts.Dora is survived by her husband Jay Lynn Barnes of Vernal. Her children: Delynn Barnes (Rico) Aguilar of Roosevelt, Zackariah David (Marci) Barnes of Vernal Nyshia Marie (Aaron) Hacking of vernal, Kira Lynn Barnes of Vernal; her mother Helen Burgess of Murray; brother John Burgess of Arkana, and sister Mary Burgess of Murray.Dora is preceded in death by Dora's father David Burgess and Brother Scott Burgess. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11AM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 North 800 West. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6-8PM and Tuesday 9:45-10:45AM all at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
