Eileen Margaret (Andrews) Hooks

Eileen Margaret Andrews Hooks passed away peacefully at her granddaughter Shilo's home on April 10, 2024. Eileen was born October 12th, 1949, in Roy, Utah to Gordon and Shirley Andrews. Eileen worked as a nurse's aide and a clerk at 7-11. Eileen married the love of her life James (Jim) Art Hooks Sr in 1983. Jim and Eileen enjoyed spending time with their grandkids. Jim preceded her in death in 1995, after Jim's passing Eileen spent time living with each of her sisters before returning to Vernal to spend the last 2 years with her granddaughter Shilo. Eileen was a rockhound, hunting pretty rocks everywhere she went. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Eileen's grandchildren will best hold on to the memories of rock hunting, cutting firewood, and grandma's very large panda collection. Eileen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, parents, sister, and nephew. She is survived by her 4 children and spouses, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister and spouse, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Paige Stewart from Canyon Hospice for her loving care. As grandma would say "One Day at a Time". A private family gathering will take place with interment in Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
