Elizabeth Kathryn Cook Bette November 24, 1933 ~ May 20, 2019 Elizabeth Katheryn Cook passed away on May 20, 2019 at the age of 85 in Vernal, Utah. Bette was born on November 24, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Peter Roth and Mary Blankenship Roth. Bette married Shirley Dale Cook on August 5, 1950 in Vernal, Utah. Bette was a member of the Kingsbury Community Church and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Bette enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, canning, cooking, hunting, fishing, camping, and working in her garden. Her greatest joy was all the family gatherings. Bette is survived by Debrorah Sue Tholl, Mary Kathryn Searle, Shirley and Ron Keel, Jannette and Drew Varland, George and Shannan Cook, 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Shirley Dale Cook, parents, great-grandchild Jared Jacob Varland and many brothers and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10AM at the Kingsbury Community Church (65 East 100 North). A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
