Erleen Norma Baker Chivers

Erleen Baker Chivers passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 72.

Erleen was born on February 17, 1954, to Norma Jean Ashby and James Earl Marshall. On November 9, 2024, she married Garson Chivers in Vernal, Utah.

Erleen found happiness in the simple things in life. She enjoyed shopping, going for walks, watching the sunset, listening to country music, and anything Marilyn Monroe. She also had a special love for Diet Coke and Hostess Snowballs.

Above all, Erleen loved her family. She had a caring heart and was always checking on those she loved, making sure everyone was all right. Her kindness, concern for others, and love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Erleen is survived by her husband, Garson Chivers; her brother, David Marshall; and her children, Kimberly (Greg) Schmidt, Heather (Carl) Miller, Patrick "PJ" (Sophie) Huihui, Leilanie (Francisco) Candelas, Shawn (Lorie) Baker, Brandi Lynn Baker, Tyler (Kennedy) Chivers, and Kegon (April) Chivers.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Baker, James Baker, Jessie Baker, Skyler Baker, Chelsie McLain, Michalla Baker, Kassidy Johnson, Jacob Hickey, Joseph Hickey, Kerensa Hickey, Alexis Sims, Haylee Betts, Sierra Miller, Cody Miller, Aviana Candelas, Francisco Candelas, Khloe Gurule, Josiah Coon, Calliope Erleen Huihui, Nick Baker, Austin Baker, Lanee Baker, Rylee Baker, Tommy Huihui, Anthony Huihui, Zaidyn Chivers, Brexlee Chivers, Bentley Chivers, Baylor Chivers, Serenity Chivers, Bracken Chivers, Zykiel Chivers, Ezekiel Rose, and Josiah Rose.

Erleen's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Laramee Betts, Raven Pena, Nova Betts, Journee Betts, Destiny Baker, Integrity Baker, Rowan McLain, Rinnley McLain, Kerensa Johnson, AJ Johnson, Annalise Leitheiser, Colson Leitheiser, Blair Jackson, Alexis Smith, Sage Hickey, Sawyer Hickey, Hayden Baker, and Hudson Baker.

Erleen was preceded in death by her parents, Norma Jean Ashby and James Earl Marshall; her sister, Brenda Marshall; her daughter, Savana Baker; and Patrick Huihui.

Erleen will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the way she cared for those around her, and the many special moments she shared with her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 11:00AM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
